At first I thought "International Donut Fund" is a joke but the IP's edit was actually correct. nyuszika7h (talk) 14:44, 2 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Credit Order

[edit]

For whatever reason, the first episode—like most, but not all, shows—did not have an official opening sequence, though there was a transition break. I noticed on the first episode as the starring credits began showing after the transition from the cold opening that Malachi Barton is listed before Nicolas Bechtel. However, in the official opening sequence from tonight's episode and onward, Malachi Barton is listed after Nicolas Bechel. I think we should go with the show's official opening sequence credit order, so I have changed the ordering accordingly, but if anyone objects, please let me know. This isn't the same thing as the Corey Fogelmanis situation that happened over on Girl Meets World, where guidelines say to add him at the end even though he doesn't appear at the end of the opening credits on the season two opening sequence, this is something different as it's within the same season. Amaury (talk) 03:21, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Had noticed the swap of those two in the credits, and was scratching my head about that one. By the way, I caught tonight's episode on "Watch Disney" more than a week before it aired on Disney Channel, but decided against making any change in the credit order until at least tonight. I would be wondering what the guideline is for this case, though. MPFitz1968 (talk) 05:51, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I'd say stick with the official credits starting from the second episode, as the preview of the first episode was just that, a preview, and they probably changed their mind about the ordering. nyuszika7h (talk) 14:42, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Amaury, MPFitz1968, and Nyuszika7H: I know it's been over a year since this discussion but I just came across it. Why is this even a question what order it is per WP:TVCAST which clearly states "The cast listing should be ordered according to the original broadcast credits, with new cast members being added to the end of the list." the cast listing here should be how it was in the pilot which are the ORIGINAL BROADCAST CREDITS and new cast members added to the end of the list. TheDoctorWho (talk) 18:27, 6 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
While that is generally the correct way to do it, things get weird with pilot episodes sometimes – The decision here was made to list the cast in the order it is in every episode except for the pilot, and to just 'note' the different credits order in the pilot. In this particular case, it was decided that this was the best way to handle it. --IJBall (contribstalk) 19:20, 6 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Alternate title for "Stuck at the Movies" episode

[edit]

TV Guide is reporting this episode (#4) by the title "Stuck in the Movies". [1] At this point, I don't know whether to add this to the episode list, as it appears to be the only source with the change in preposition; the others have "at". Got me curious because the TV listings I get from Comcast come from TV Guide. MPFitz1968 (talk) 07:46, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's up to you, but at makes sense while on or in don't. Amaury (talk) 14:10, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The setting (location) of the series

[edit]

The current source in the plot section [2] indicates the series takes place in suburban Massachusetts. These edits added the city of Boston, which is the largest city of the state and one of the largest metropolitan areas in the U.S. It may be implied that the city in question for the setting is that, but unless another source explicitly states Boston, which needs to be cited—or an episode, which thru the first six has not mentioned that—the edits are improper synthesis, a form of original research. As far as what has been revealed in the episodes so far, they refer to a place called Marshport (Ethan saying it in "Stuck with a Guy on the Couch", posters/signs at the high school Georgie goes to as well as her basketball uniform saying "Marshport High School" in the pilot, and the sign at the movie theater they go to in "Stuck at the Movies" showing "Marshport 6"). To my knowledge, unless someone mentions the contrary here, this is a fictitious suburb which may, or may not, be set inside the Boston metro area. The only possible mention of Massachusetts in any of the episodes aired is the various license plates shown in Ethan's (and the boys') bedroom. As for the edits made, I must revert because of WP:SYNTH. MPFitz1968 (talk) 14:43, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Good thing I can watch the episodes again and again, even for the tiniest details which I need to correct from above regarding the Marshport references, though overall it doesn't affect much what I said above. Georgie's basketball uniform, as well as posters, signs, banners, etc., at the basketball game, actually said "Marshport High Terriers", and the movie theater was called "Marshport 6 Cinema". Camera setup

[edit]

The article claims the show is single-camera, but The Futon Critic says "comedy (multi-camera)". nyuszika7h (talk) 20:45, 23 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Two sources cited in the article [3] [4] mention it to be single-camera. The technical details between the two, I don't understand, so I couldn't say which is right, but I can definitely tell the difference when watching the show, compared to Girl Meets World or other Disney Channel shows. Ratings table in Reception section—timeslot column?

[edit]

A couple of recent edits to the timeslot column [5] [6] have put in multiple times on Fridays for when the show has aired. There are multiple problems with this: (1) Wikipedia is not a TV guide or directory—putting in multiple timeslots, with when these timeslots were effective, gives that impression; (2) The new timeslot of 8pm ET on Fridays has only been announced by Disney Channel but hasn't occurred yet (this will take effect on June 3); (3) For the first two episodes, those didn't even air at 8:30pm ET on Friday—episode one aired on February 14, a Sunday, and episode two aired at 9pm on Friday, March 11, after the season two finale of Girl Meets World—so the edits I've cited are inaccurate anyway. Speaking of GMW, the obvious reason for the time change has to do with its return on June 3, where its timeslot has been Fridays at 8:30pm ET for most of its run. But regarding that timeslot column, any ideas about how to handle this? MPFitz1968 (talk) 07:20, 25 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"Season finale"

[edit]

FWIW, tonight's episode is tagged as "Season finale" in my Time Warner Cable schedule guide. So, while it still needs a source, calling tonight's episode the season #1 finale is probably accurate. --IJBall (contribstalk) 22:12, 22 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The Zap2it link also shows it as being the season finale, so I'll go ahead and change that accordingly. Amaury (talk | contribs) 22:17, 22 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't Georgia be 15?

[edit]

In "Stuck in the Quinceanera" it's Georgia's Quinceanera. Billythekid314 (talk) 20:22, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Billythekid314: What's your point? Amaury (talk | contribs) 20:30, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Quinceanera refers to the celebration of a Latina (girl) becoming a woman, which occurs when she turns 15 (quince in Spanish = 15). Georgie's age is already made known in that episode's summary, and I'd consider it unnecessary to also include that in her character profile. We don't need to "fill in the blanks" regarding everyone's age in the character profiles; Harley's is fine as she is the central character, and Rachel's is okay (I guess) to establish how old is the oldest. One of the problems that likely will pop up later as the show goes further on is editors updating each character's age, which is trivia unless there's significant context behind reporting it. Care must be taken to what extent we report ages in the profiles, but there should be just enough for the reader to make note about the type of audience the show targets. Stuck in the Middle: Stuck in the Store

[edit]

So I found this while scrolling through Zap2it, and I was wondering if it's worthy of inclusion in the same way that we include specials. Amaury (talk | contribs) 19:52, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

These look like "webisodes". Do we know if they are?... Until we know what that is, I don't think we should include it. If they are webisodes, we can handle that the same way other shows with webisodes do... --IJBall (contribstalk) 19:56, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Looking at the times, they're five-minute showings, like those Forever in Your Mind and Mickey Mouse shorts. I'm not sure if that helps answer the question, though. Amaury (talk | contribs) 19:59, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
A separate series of six five-minute episodes. No real info except title and times. Might be worth adding as something extra if we had more info about what it is about. Geraldo Perez (talk) 20:02, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Just for reference's sake, this is the schedule for Friday. You can see each episode is after Good Luck Charlie. Hopefully summaries are released before then, but if not then we can just watch them and make a determination. Amaury (talk | contribs) 20:07, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I've watched these short bits already from the Watch Disney site [7], which I think have been up for a couple of weeks, since Thanksgiving (U.S.). Not sure how this would be handled in the article, however. MPFitz1968 (talk) 20:10, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@MPFitz1968: We could just include them as we would any normal episode. Create a heading titled "Shorts (2016)," the year obviously not being added until after they have aired, or something similar. We could even also go ahead and split the article. Amaury (talk | contribs) 20:13, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm still awaiting feedback from Nyuszika7H, but I'll go ahead and be bold if no one has any objections and split the article, counting these shorts as part of the series. Amaury (talk | contribs) 23:31, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Geraldo Perez, MPFitz1968, IJBall, Nyuszika7H:  Done. If anyone has any feedback, such as it perhaps looking odd or it needing a note somewhere about the shorts, feel more than free to raise a discussion over on the episode and bring up your issues. :) Amaury (talk | contribs) 00:38, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, sorry for not replying. It's common to include these, just confirming I agree with it too. Split also makes sense, especially as it has been also renewed for a second season so there will be even more content there later. nyuszika7h (talk) 13:27, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Song Name

[edit]

What is the name of the song playing at the end of stuck in lockdown? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 23.123.78.189 (talk) 01:19, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@23.123.78.189: I really can't tell you that, since I don't know offhand - not even sure it's brought up in the credits for that episode. I will also remind you that Wikipedia is not a forum; the talk page is used for discussing how to improve the article for the show, not details (including trivia) about what's in the show. Please respect that. Thanks. MPFitz1968 (talk) 01:42, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 27 April 2017

[edit]
Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. JTP (talkcontribs) 14:14, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
They want Lewie being 90 seconds older changed to being five minutes older as discovered in "Stuck in the Beast-Day Party" from season two. This can be included, but the current sentence shouldn't be entirely removed because of WP:RECENTISM. Amaury (talk | contribs) 14:30, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Done. The request is fair enough. --IJBall (contribstalk) 15:05, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  1. ^ Malachi Barton was credited before Nicolas Bechtel in the Stuck in the Middle pilot episode, but Bechtel was credited before Barton in all subsequent episodes starting with "Stuck in the Sweet Seat".

Ronni Hawk

[edit]

As of season 3, Rachel is not a main character anymore. In the opening credits for Stuck with Rachel's Secret, the clip of Rachel from seasons 1 and 2 is seen, however it is shortened and Ronni Hawk's name is removed from the credits. She was also listed as a special guest. I think it should be noted she isn't part of the main cast starting with season 3. The show's reasoning for this is that Rachel got early acceptance into college in Europe — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.82.126.197 (talk) 02:02, 20 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Marco and Frank

[edit]

I just saw a promo for the show on Disney which has the following:

Narrator: "All new Friday! The Diazes are the new brains on the case."
Kid in mustache: "and only Marco PB and Frank J can get to the bottom of it"

I don't see any characters listed with that name though. I had thought based on the promo their names might be Marco Diaz and Frank Diaz, but the former would overlap with Star versus the Forces of Evil so it seemed off.

Does anyone know who these two are? Is this a code name? Minor characters? ScratchMarshall (talk) 04:41, 14 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Awards and nominations

[edit]

Can someone color-code the wins and nominations to the awards I’ve added? The template isn’t working for me. Nyantiaz (talk) 21:02, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Latino sitcoms category

[edit]

An IP added Latino sitcoms category and I want keep it but I'm guessing there might have been an earlier discussion elsewhere about it. I would consider Latino category to be WP:DEFINING because

  1. A lot of articles from WP:RELIABLESOURCES described Stuck in the middle as a "Latino" themed. For example, Variety, Multichannel News etc
  2. The show itself had a lot of Latino-culture themed episodes including "Stuck in a Gold Medal Performance", "Stuck in the Quinceañera", "Stuck in Harley's Quinceañera"; a lot of Abuela's storylines revolved around her Latina culture and there was a recurring theme about learning Spanish as part of their culture.

So, I think it's defining enough to be considered a category. — Starforce13 16:29, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Family comedy

[edit]

Hey guys, I really think "family" should be added in front of "comedy", because this show is clearly a family comedy.RobThomas15 (talk) 16:39, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I will note that two sources, one in the Production section[1] and one in the Broadcast section,[2] are using wording that would have me agreeing with this. But I will yield to consensus about whether these sources are valid to identify this as "family comedy" or "family sitcom". MPFitz1968 (talk) 17:15, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@MPFitz1968: Then the user in question should have provided those sources rather than be disruptive. It is not my responsibility to check and see if their claims are correct. I will make the changes accordingly. Amaury18:08, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn’t Ariana Greenblatt have her own wiki page?

[edit]

So I’ve seen Ariana Greenblatt pop up in a lot of stuff like Infinity War and Love and Monsters. You could make a small wiki page out of that, is there just a lack of information? I don’t think it needs to redirect to this show she was on anymore. Ciscocat (talk) 17:49, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Ciscocat: There's a draft article for the actress here. Don't know whether she has yet met the notability guidelines - perhaps with WP:NACTOR, though less likely with WP:BASIC (as long as she meets one of those two guidelines, she'd be considered notable, though no guarantee her draft article will be upgraded for mainspace). MPFitz1968 (talk) 18:14, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The redirect Ariana Greenblatt (actress) has been listed at redirects for discussion to determine whether its use and function meets the redirect guidelines. Joe Nieves redirection

[edit]

Why does 'Joe Nieves' redirect to this page? I get how he doesn't have his own article, but why redirect here instead of prompting creatino? Tomeka2 (talk) 13:20, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
